To meet this environmental objective, Amphenol Spectra-Strip has established its Spectra-Green process. This process has instituted specific requirements for the products we sell. These requirements are based, at a minimum, on the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
Amphenol Spectra-Strip and its suppliers incorporate the best engineering and scientific judgment, including the use of engineering calculations, materials assays, or a combination thereof, to determine the existence and concentrations of the substances set forth per the applicable requirements. In some cases, products may be tested for verification. At a minimum, the applicable MSDS sheets will be kept on file.
All standard products have been reviewed and actions, where warranted, have been undertaken to confirm the vast majority of our products conform to the requirements per Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the council of 27 January 2003, on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment as of May 1, 2005. Based on this directive, the following substances will not be intentionally added to the products:
